Error 403

@dave.kearney
I have submitted this to our team and will let you know as soon as I hear back.

Hello @dave.kearney
I got a reply from my team which stated "A network range was blocked due to bot scraping actitivty. Out of 1.2 million requests, a part was never added to a shopping cart. This is one of multiple bots that were recently blocked due to website performance issues. They were hitting the site continously much faster than what a human could, and exclusively going after pricing data (non-human activity).

Is there a way that we can get them to use the API portal instead? High volume requests should to though the api.digikey.com api soultion.

If you feel this is not correct please let me know and I can reach out privately with contact information for that team.

Hi Robert, would appreciate you taking a look into this, still waiting on a response and can’t access the site. Am wondering is the fact that I am using Altium a factor? It obviously connects to DigiKey to update ActiveBOM. If I need to call you let me know. Cheers, Dave

I did talk with my group and they thought they were able to resolve the issue but since it is still not working it appears they did not. I forwarded your comment about Altium and will let you know as soon as I get a response.

Hi Robert,

I get blocked with 403 when trying complete an order from my shopping cart on www.digikey.de. Can you help with that?

For a POST request to https://www.digikey.de/ordering/ShoppingCart I’ve got an x-akamai-refeference-id example: 0.97f01002.1684337432.1f8782fd

Thanks,
Ralf

This should be resolved. Please advise if there are further issues.

Thank You - Robert

Hi Robert,

it did work from a new incognito window for a short moment, but now it’s being blocked again with 403. New akamai-reference-id: 0.97f01002.1684344718.21cae53b

Thanks,
Ralf

Hello Ralf,

There were a couple other items our team check on. Hopefully this will clear the issue for you.
-Robert

Yes I can confirm that the 403 when starting the payment process has been resolved. The website digikey.de is “currently experiencing connectivity issues”, which makes it hard to completely test though.

Thanks for your help!

Regards,
Ralf

Hello @neumark
I have reached out to IT which works with these and am awaiting their response.

Hello @neumark

Here is the information sent to me from my web team.

It appears that a java no scrpt browser extension is in use that is preventing java script to properly load for website access. Perhaps they can exempt digikey.com from the extension?

browser extension website

From personal experience, you may need to make datadoghq-browser-agent.com trusted as well.

Also you may have to delete your digikey.com cookie after adding marking the domains trusted.
