Dear Sir/Madam,
I am reaching out with a question regarding one of the ICs, the ET6226M. I would like to confirm whether this IC requires a continuous signal from the STM32 microcontroller for operation, or if it only needs a one-time signal each time the display numbers need to be updated. I need a reference too.
Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like the chip has internal clock, thus the MCU does not need to provide continuous stream of display content.
Note that if you have also a keyboard matrix there, the example circuit shown in the datasheet will cause “ghost” segments to be shown on the display if user presses more than one button concurrently.
