Hi,
I have a weird observation with the Ubuntu 20.04 filesystem. Recently we have completed the migration process for Ubuntu 20.04 Linux. Everything works fine, Now we are duplicating the microSD cards for field usage and seems like it is not allowing to duplicate/ copy the image/ files present on the card. it used to work with Ubuntu 16.04 cards.
Do you have any idea what can go wrong with Ubuntu 20.04 filesystem or drivers?
Please provide your thoughts.
Thanks,
Mrudula
Without a boot log comparison, it’s hard to pin point one reason.
Regards,
okay, I will share the log details.
Thanks

Attached boot log for Ubuntu 16.04 and Ubuntu 20.04 for your reference.
Please share your input.
Ubuntu_16.04_bootlog (23.0 KB)
Ubuntu_20.04_boot_log (32.8 KB)
Thanks

So you have:
ubuntu 16.06: 4.4.27-bone-rt-r14
ubuntu 20.04: 5.10.87-bone-rt-r59
these images were not duplicated from each other… Instead are independent
Please show your actual before and after issue…
Regards,
Yes, I have now 5.10.87-bone-rt-r59 with this kernel i am unable to duplicate the micro SD card using systor duplicator machine. any idea why this is happening with Ubuntu 20.04 and not with Ubuntu 16.04 microSD card?
First, take the ‘working’ ubuntu 20.04 card, and using J1 on the BeagleBone Black, log the full ‘boot’ log, i need u-boot…
Next take a bad ‘duplicated’ card and repeat, i need to see both of those logs.
Regards,
