General Purpose Interface Bus and Communications is a digital interface used to transmit data between devices. Types of products found in this category include CANopen interface, DeviceNet interface, ethernet interface, GPIB interface, I²C/SPI interface, PROFIBUS interface, RS232 interface, RS485 interface, and more. These can be filtered by the bus connection, front connection, number of channels, supply voltage, serial protocol, features, and more.


SelectionCharacteristics

Type: Indication of which interface is used by the device to communicate with other components in the system.

Bus Connection: Indicates how the device is terminated for communication connection.

Front Connection: Indicates how the device is terminated for data acquisition connection.

Number of Channels: The number of communication channels the item has.

Supply Voltage: Typically represented by a range, this indicates the low and high voltage limits which one can expect standard operation. Voltages outside this range may damage the device and other system components.

Serial Protocol: Defines the serial communication standard being used.

Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as low profile.

Clock Rate: Indicates maximum rated operating frequency of processor core.

Operating System: Indicate the Operating System the device is compatible with.
