This type of header contains a variety of special pin types within a plastic base to be connected to a board. Connector types include: DIP, DIL, header, plug, SIP, and SIL. Contact types include: forked, male, post, slotted, solder cup, and turret. These are available in a variety of position and pitch options. Mounting types are surface mount and through-hole.
SelectionCharacteristics
Connector Type: Indicates the style and configuration of the device.
Contact Type: Indicates the style and gender of the contacts.
Number of Positions: Indicates the number of distinct conductors presented at a connector’s mating interface and the number of electrical contact points present within a connector.
Pitch: Indicates the center-to-center spacing between adjacent pins.
Number of Rows: Indicates the number of rows the connector has.
Row Spacing: The nominal center distance between rows of contacts of a connector.
Mounting Type: Indicates how the device is attached.
Termination: Selection of termination style used to connect the device to a system, such as solder or wire wrap.
Features: These are different capabilities or properties of the device such as a cap or programmable.
Contact Finish: Indicates the finish/plating material applied to the contacts of the device.
Contact Finish Thickness: Indicates the thickness of the finish/plating material applied to the contacts of a device.
Color: The dominant color of the device.
