I’m attempting to identify the correct female insert that mates with the connector on an older spindle. Unfortunately, I do not have manufacturer documentation for the spindle or the connector series.
Based on physical inspection, measurements, and visual comparison, the connector appears to be a Han-style rectangular connector, and the housing dimensions align with a Han 4A size. The connector on the spindle uses a 6-pin male insert with fixed pin geometry and keying.
Based on that, I ordered a Han 4A Push-In female insert (Harting P/N 09 20 004 5101 https://b2b.harting.com/files/download/PRD/PDF_DS/PDF_DS_09200045101_EN.pdf ) as a close apparent match. The insert fits properly into the Han 4A housing, however it does not mate with the existing male insert on the spindle. The pin alignment and/or keying is incompatible.
This leads me to believe that while the housing size is correct, the insert series, contact style (Push-In vs crimp/screw), pin geometry, or keying variant does not match the original connector. The connector may also be from an older or discontinued Harting series, or from a different manufacturer that uses a Han-compatible housing but a non-standard insert.
Relevant details observed so far:
-
Housing size appears consistent with Han 4A
-
6-pin male insert on the spindle
-
Markings observed include partial text ending in “4kV”
-
Pins are arranged differently than the ordered insert
-
Ordered insert seats in the housing but will not mate mechanically
Photos of the male connector on the spindle and the housing are included below.
I’m specifically looking for:
-
The correct female insert part number that mates with this male insert, or
-
Identification of the original connector series/manufacturer, including any obsolete or cross-reference equivalents
Any technical guidance or identification help would be greatly appreciated.
