The wires respond. Only the mic get no sound.
Hello rumphorst, welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.
I have no information on the microphone requirements for the SPL-D2 MK2 device.
The closest microphone we have, that is 10mm diameter, is 668-AUM-4537L-HD-R-ND.
Please check the attributes and the datasheet to verify compatibility to your application.
Thank you for the quick answer I am going to look into it.
Best regards
Frans
Sound Pressure Level meters typically use microphone elements that are custom designed for the specific measuring instrument (and their output often sounds terrible to humans).
If you have a reference SPL meter and suitable place for calibration, you could try to find a suitable replacement. Look for microphone elements specifically designed for measuring SPL and try a few to see if the calibration checks OK.
Other then that the OEM may be the only source for a replacement part. Also a complete re-calibration of the instrument may be required after replacing the microphone element.
Thank you Paul for your clear answer and itβs worth the try. If itβs not calibrating correctly then the only option is the OEM mic set that cost 140 euros.
All the best,
Frans
Hi @rumphorst ,
Adding in 9.7mm diameter microphone options, here are additional options to review, please review height and other specifications:

As a guess, this list may be more applicable narrowed down list:
Thank you for the info. I am going to look into it.
