------Question for OPA445AP Please Put your question below------
Dear all,
I’m a PhD student in biology. I recently needed to set up a circuit for my experiment which I had no clues. In this circuit, I need an operational amplifier (OPA445AP). So my question is how do I know the gain of this amplifier? For example, if I have an input voltage of 10 V, what is the maximum output voltage I can get? I checked the datasheet and couldn’t find anything.
Op-amp gain is set by the resistors you use with it.
See the basic info for inverting and non-inverting configurations here:
Be aware the simple calculations for an ideal op-amp can lead one to believe any amount of gain is possible. The reality is high gain amplifier design needs to consider many real world effects and will limit the usable gain in many different ways. Often multiple gain stages will be required to achieve gains higher than 10X where the output isn’t distorted or noisy.
