How to Mount Your Raspberry Pi 4 B

When purchasing a Raspberry Pi 4 B, you may be wondering whether it comes with any sort of mounting hardware or if the device can be easily integrated into your project. And if not, what recourse do you have?

Not to worry - while the board itself does not ship with any mounting hardware, DigiKey offers a plethora of ready-made enclosures for Raspberry Pi that suit a wide variety of project requirements which you can find here: Raspberry Pi 4 B Compatible Prebuilt Enclosures. Many of these enclosures include additional functionality well suited to maximizing your Raspberry Pi, such as integrated fans and heat sinks, wall-mounting options, or board stackability.

If none of these prebuilt options work for your requirements, you can also mount the Raspberry Pi directly. The 4 B’s mounting holes are 2.7mm nominal diameter and work with M2 or M2.5 mounting hardware. A combination of M2.5 board spacers such as these: M2.5 Spacers, and M2.5 screws such as these: M2.5 Screws, can be used to mount your Raspberry Pi 4 B in whatever conditions or configuration you require.
