Compute Boards
SODIMM board that contain the System on a Chip (SoC) that the Raspberry Pi family use. All three versions do need an I/O board to expand and breakout the outputs and inputs of the boards
RASPBERRY PI 3

Currently the most advanced model with built in WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities the RASPBERRY PI 3 make a perfect introduction to the world of Internet of Things or experimenting with a Single Board Computer
RASPBERRY PI 2 MODEL B
1690-1005-ND
Last generation, with no built in wireless function
RASPBERRY PI B+
1690-1014-ND
One of the earlier generations less on board memory, same System on a Chip as the RASPBERRY PI A+
RASPBERRY PI A+
1690-1006-ND
Smaller, Cheaper but reduced GPIO count and fewer USB ports and no Ethernet port at all
Zero and Zero W
Digi-Key does not currently carry the Raspberry Pi Zero but we do carry the Zero W version as part of educational kits from vendors such as Sparkfun and Pimoroni
If you are starting completely from scratch the best place to start would most likely be the RASPBERRY PI 3 as that is the newest and most capable part, Be sure to pick up all the accessories you would need like SD cards for the operating system, Cables both HDMI and USB, Power Supplies and keyboard and Mice all available at Digi-Key or Digi-Key Suppliers
