I am looking for the sockets that go for these convertors

------Question for UV300-12-164LF Please Put your question below------

I am looking for the sockets that go into the board for these convertors.

We are in the process of trying to manufacture these boards.

Thank you

Hello joseph.e.falkner3.ct,

Welcome to the DigiKey TechForum.

I’m sorry, but we do not have a socket for this type of DC/DC converter.

These are designs to solder directly to the circuit board.

The larger output pins prevents the use of a generic header, or socket.

I also checked on the manufacture’s website, and they did not list a socket for it.

Wow, that’s sad as they are the Number 1 failure on these boards and need to be removed from the units we repair at a rate of about 100/year. So without the sockets they would be a mess is the best way to say it would be catastrophic to the boards. Since we just repair the units and cannot redesign the circuitry, I will have to continue my search elsewhere.

PS: The sockets are already on the existing design of this 10 layer circuit card. Unfortunately it was designed in the 70’s and manufactured in the 80’s.

joseph.e.falkner3.ct,

If the sockets exist, you should contact the manufacture for any information on the compatible socket. They may have one, that they are not listing on their website.

It also has all the CPU circuitry on it. Crazy, but I am stuck with it. PS: The PN’ are not listed anywhere and the original manufacture has been bought and sold 3 times.

I will do that.

Sorry we didn’t have these available.

One may wish to poke around in the PC Pin Receptacles, Socket Connectors family as well as the Specialized Connectors family for possible alternatives/work-alikes for the smaller and larger connections respectively. This item for example may be an option for the larger contacts.
