PDIP and Protoboards/Breadboards

Hello and Me Being Lazy Here,

I have a PDIP chip that I want to connect to a ProtoBoard for use with some other electronics…

  1. Does someone make “U” shaped pins with female headers on one end? I searched online and found a few articles. I can set up the female headers at some mm spacing.
  2. I know the “U” shape is out and about currently but does DigiKey sell these types of header pins?
  3. Where on the site would I look to find these pins?

I would basically solder the two opposing sides of pins to the underneath section of the Protoboard and use some female to female headers for exchanging out chips…

Seth

P.S. I found them. I know they exist but does your company carry them now?

2.54mm Pitch U-Shaped Through Hole Double Row Pin Header is what I have been researching recently.

Also…

Does your company sell sockets? DILB16P223TLF is something I can use for the 16-pin DIP chips. https://www.digikey.com/short/w09nn9br is what I found. So yes! You guys got 'em!

Seth

P.S. I may set up something with these sockets instead. I will test…and also (last but not least):

  1. https://www.digikey.com/short/81b9n5m8 is a 14 pin socket type with a right angle set of pins.
    a. Does this site have data on 16 pin types of similar socket types with right angled pins?

Okay and A-Okay…I figured out my woe.

Thank you for reading. I am going to get a two-layer PCB instead…
