I am looking for an IR LED that is in the range of 3-5 um and can handle 5 MHz, but I am unsure if the LEDs on here can handle that? I am not seeing any datasheets or information relating to this? I could be missing something so hoping to get some help :)!

Market demand for high-frequency thermal-band emitters would seem limited compared to narrower wavelengths, and I’m not sure there’s been a lot of development in the area. That said, there are a few listings for items that might approach the ask. The indicated rise and fall times would not seem quite where they need to be, but perhaps the techniques outlined in Osram’s AN096 could be useful in mitigation.
