Inquiry about SPCM-780-14-FC

Hi,

I’m interested in the SPCM-780-14-FC and have a few questions:

  1. My understanding is that this model is optimized for 780 nm. However, we may occasionally want to use it to detect other wavelengths, for example around 1000 nm. Could you provide the photon detection efficiency for wavelengths in the range of 600–1300 nm?
  2. Since this product is fiber-coupled, could you let me know what type of fiber it requires? Also, can the fiber port be detached, as we may sometimes want to use it in free space?

Thank you,

Greetings,

The datasheet has a chart for PDE on page 4. It would seem to suggest that there was some confusion between “optimized for” and “quoted at” somewhere along the line, and that sensitivity at wavelengths longer than about 900nm 'aint so great.

Fiber connector would appear to be of FC style, and while not a formal information source the image on the manufacturer’s site appears to show the adapter adhesive-mounted to the can of the diode module. Removal would not seem advisable as such.

Thanks for your reply! I emailed them earlier but haven’t heard back yet.
