I see that polarity must be observed for this relay:
Is it safe to assume it uses diodes internally to control flyback voltage?
Thanks.

Hello @couldabin
I didn’t see any diodes listed in that series, so I believe a separate snubber would be needed, but I am checking with our Product Manager for TE Connectivity to verify.
Your Technical Reference number for this interaction is TXXXXXXX, and I will update here as soon as I have a definitive answer for you.
Wonderful. I appreciate your help.
Hello @couldabin
Per TE Connectivity, the FP2 series relays do not have an internal diode, so an external snubber circuit would be needed in this case.
Thanks much for checking on that!
