JST Housings

Hi! Does anyone know the product name and number for the JST housings shown in the pictures? The first image has 3 blades and a part that mates with it, while the second image has 2 blades and a part that mates with it. Thanks! Brad.

Hello, Brad. Welcome to TechForum!

I am looking for these devices now, but unfortunately some connection issues in our system is delaying the search. I’ll be in touch as soon as I can bludgeon something into working long enough to locate your connectors.

Unfortunately I’m not spotting an exact match at this time. The closest alternative I can find is 0351840300, from Molex. Do you happen to have any additional information on these devices, by chance?

Hi! RaeLynn , they are connectors found in a Lionel toy train that I am rebuilding. The train was manufactured in China. Maybe I could use a substitute connector? Thanks! Brad

Hi! Does anyone know the product # for the 2 , 6 and 9 position JST GH series. The GH series is 1.25 mm. I have included photos of what I am looking for but it is 1.5 mm ZH in the photos. Thanks! Brad

Entering “jst gh housing” in the DigiKey search should summon the product series of interest; the desired position counts can be selected form there.

Hi! Are these connectors available without a locking mechanism? Thanks! Brad

The JST GH series connectors all include a locking mechanism.

Similar products are listed under rectangular connector housings. Reducing the result count by filtering for known criteria such as pitch, number of rows, etc. can quickly reduce the result set to a number that’s more reasonable to comb through.

Hi! Would you have the product # for the 2 position version of this Molex product? Thanks! Brad

Hi bradadams682,

I believe the original connectors you were looking for, based on the images of your first post, are the Molex 51005 and 51006 series, which are now obsolete.

Molex 0510050200:

Molex 0510060200:

We do still have stock of the 51005 connectors and the associated female contacts, the 50013 series part number 0500138000. We no longer have stock of the mating 51006 parts.

You might be able to find existing stock if you search online for the Molex 51006 series.

Thanks! Brad.
