KEMET supplies a wide variety of different electronic components, including their EC2-12NU small signal relay. We’ve had a couple of questions lately concerning inrush current specifications/testing for this product - does Kemet do any inrush testing and if so, what are their results and specs?
KEMET does not test or rate these parts for inrush current resistance, as they are intended for steady-state small signal control and should not be exposed to significant inrush current. You would want to include inrush protection upstream of whatever this device is controlling, as well as upstream of the relay itself.
