Display Modules - LED Dot Matrix and Cluster units are Devices that use a light emitting diodes arranged in a matrix layout to provide visual graphics. Typically arranged in grid pattern with either the positive or negative terminal of the light emitting diode tied together as a common circuit node. Available in a variety of sizes and colors, these units can accept a wide range of interfaces from I2C, 8-bit parallel, serial and ASCII inputs.


SelectionCharacteristics

Millicandela Rating: Characterizes device brightness at the indicated test current or nominal input voltage.

Internal Connection: For devices lacking internal drive/control circuitry, describes internal connections that exist between the individual display elements.

Size / Dimension: The physical dimensions of the device. Typically length by width by height.

Color: Indcicates the color(s) emitted from the LED.

Configuration: Indicates the layout for the dot matrix.

Voltage - Forward (Vf) (Typ): The rated working voltage of a device, given as a range or as a maximum.

Interface: Indication of which interface(s) or protocol(s) are used by the device to communicate with other components in the system.
