I’m looking for the A817-921D optocoupler, but I can’t find it on DigiKey. Is there an equivalent substitute available?

Do you have an official part number, or is that the markings found on a physical part you have?

If the latter, then you are probably looking for something in this family of parts.

If you have the part you are trying to replace, could you provide a few images to help narrow it down?

By any chance, are you talking about the PC817 optocoupler? When I searched A817-921D optocoupler, I found nothing. However, PC817 is common.

That was my thought as well. That’s why I provided the link I did above. There are a number of “817” variants with essentially the same electrical characteristics from multiple vendors and in a variety of package types.
