Marking on a part

I am not sure if I selected the right forum but I have a questions in regards to the marking on P/N: HW-USB-II-G.

The number on the Red Block “XU-91954”, is this a lot code, Date Code or serial number?

Can multiple parts have the same “serial number”? For example: 5pcs be marked with Serial Number: XU-91954?

Hello,

I am checking on this. Will let you know when I have an answer.

Hello,

I am checking on this request, please advise.

Could you share an image of the part in question?

Dear Karl,

Please see picture attached, we are wondering if the serial number on the part is unique on each part? or can multiple parts have the same serial number?

Regards,

Each device has a 64bit unique ID, Xilinx claims up to 127 connected devices…

Hi Robert,

Is this consider serial number, date code or lot code on the part?

In the specific the number follow XU?

It looks like both.. The XU - WXYZ is one part of the serial number just not the full number, internally there’s a second number… the iMPACT tool should show both..

Regards,

Please see the below pictures, all of these 5 pcs have the same serial XU#? is it because they belong to the same series otherwise each one should have a different Serial Number, right?

Open 2 of them in myCableDatabase.CDB app, the middle column should have unique numbers..

Hello Robert,

Thank you for your prompt response we’ll try this and advise.
