Even though I usually set my cookies for avoiding targeting, somehow, for the past several days, I’ve been getting these ads telling me that DigiKey has the parts I normally get from McMaster-Carr. So, I thought I’d waste DigiKey’s 20 cents or whatever it is to come here. I love DigiKey, I love McMaster-Carr, and everything I CAN buy from DigiKey, I already do–probably about 95% of my company’s electronic component spend. DigiKey doesn’t carry ANY of the stuff I buy from McMaster-Carr. This is a pretty clear signal that you (DigiKey) are getting way out over your skis on marketing.

It is also worth noting that malicious phishing attempts from bad actors are sometimes created by hiding behind the persona of a reputable company or business name in order to get a click. In the event it is not actually DigiKey, be wary of unknown links.
