MIC29500-5.0WT regulators

I bought 5 MIC29500-5.0WT voltage regulators. Part number 576-1143ND. I connected them just like a 7805 and they don’t work. The output just tracks the input. Am I missing something?

Can you please share your hookup diagram? What did you use for input and output capacitor, what voltage are you feeding this device?

I connected it to a load and it works fine. I guess it needs current to regulate. Thanks for the quick reply. Rookie mistake.
