Micron Technology supplies a variety of semiconductors for data processing, including a strong line-up of memory. We’ve had some questions on these product lines concerning the difference between the AAT and AIT suffixes seen on products such as MT41K512M16VRP-107 AIT:P. Is this distinction significant?
“AIT” indicates a temp range of -40 to 95c, while “AAT” is a temp range of -40 to 105c. Beyond this modest difference in temperature range, the two products are identical in performance.
Only the MT41K512M16VRP-107AAT:P is fully qualified with AEC-Q100 certification and full automotive paperwork needed for PPAP – Production Part Approval Process.

Look-out, for MT41K512M16VRP-107 with DESIGN ID V00H there is already a 100S EOL for Components as MPN Optimization for DDR3 8Gbit 16 in 96/144 TFBGA package 2 CT and MPG_DESCRIPTOR indicating End of Life: PCN 36228 & PCN 35869.
The Automotive Ultra Temperature (AUT) operating range up to +125°C was never available for this series of Legacy Designs recommended for Industrial Multi Market and Industry/Mass Market. Please go to Product lifecycle solutions | Micron Technology Inc. and click on their PLP (Product Longevity Program) Part List as additional source.
