-–Question for HT302/DF19S Please Put your question below------

Hi rsantosuosso,

Thank you for your patience. We are waiting for a reply from Hirose regarding your question about the insert die for the HT302/DF19S.

Hi rsantosuosso,

The HT302/DF19S comes with two dies, one for the 28 ~ 30 AWG contacts and one for the 30 ~32 AWG contacts.

We do not stock either item, but the HT302/DF19S(61) can be submitted for a quote request. I have seen both part numbers listed elsewhere online, though it’s not clear if anyone stocks either of these dies, so special orders would likely have to be placed for either one.

David,

Can you send me the links that you found elsewhere online?

Regards,

Rick

@rsantosuosso

For the HT302/DF19S(62) I found the below link for a place that shows they have stock.
HT302/DF19S(62) | Hirose HT302/DF19S(62) Stock available from Infinite-Electronics.net | HT302/DF19S(62) with Best Price at Infinite-Electronics.net

I was not able to verify a place that would have stock for the HT302/DF19S(61).

I just entered those two part numbers into Google.

David,

The question I am trying to get answered is, Can you purchase the crimping die without purchasing the whole tool?

When I search with that number, I come up with the contact not the Crimping Die for the tool.

Is that what you found?

Regards,

Rick

Hi Rick,

The part numbers I provided above are for the crimp dies, not the contacts themselves.

Die part numbers:

  • HT302/DF19S(61) → Die part number used for “2830” AWG contacts
  • HT302/DF19S(62) → Die part number used for “3032” AWG contacts

The contact part numbers will contain their specified wire gauge within the part number.

Example contact part numbers:

  • DF19A-2830SCFA
  • DF19A-3032SCFA

Whether one can still order the dies separately from the tool is an open question for which I have not been given a clear-cut answer. I’m pretty sure one could have done so sometime in the past, but not as sure that that is still an option.

We don’t stock either of the dies, but we do list the “(61)” version in our system, and one could try to place a non-stocking order and see what response you get back.

As I said, a Google search has brought up a few online stores which list both part numbers. Our primary competitor lists both, though they do not stock them either. You could try a non-stocking order with them as well.
