Need diode identification

Hi
I need to identify the diode below. SG 54A
Where can I get it and is there any alternative with the same parameters?

Check this one - S1G

Hello Adam7,

The datasheet for the S1G diode S1G-E3/5ATGICT-ND, verifies the marking code is SG, so it appears you found the right diode, and these can be purchased in any quantity, down to 1 piece.

Codders,
The 54A is probably a date or lot type code. Be sure to verify the dimensions. The rest of the part numbers are more for packaging codes. The 5AT suffix is for a 7500 piece Tape & Reel.

Hi, David_1768,
at the moment I helping people who cannot identify a part by marking.
But the time will come, I will definitely buy something.
Thank you. :handshake:

Adam7,

Not a problem. Thank you for all the help. The ordering info was for the original customer Codders, who was looking for this item.

Thank you for your help.

On Reddit someone mentioned it’s S07G according to this Vishay tech spec:

Now I’m a bit confused.

Diference - Marking rules and case.
Your diode is definitely S1G-E3/5AT

Looks like both parts, S1G-E3/5AT and S07G-GS08 have the SG marking. You will notice these parts are different surface mount packages, one a DO-214AC and the other a DO219AB which have different dimensions. You can use the datasheet drawings for each one to verify which part matches yours but it looks to me like you have part S1G-E3/5AT .

Just to help visualize, see diagrams below. The S1G-E3/5AT has the larger SMA (DO-214AC) package while the S07G-GS08 has the smaller SMF (DO-219AB) package.

Figure 1: S1G-E3/5AT SMA (DO-214AC) package (note curled under leads)

Figure 2: S07G-GS08 SMF (DO-219AB) package (note flat leads)
