I’m new to the forum and I would greatly appreciate this forums help, I need help finding modern capacitors for my old AKAI Tape Reel that I inherited. I’m sure my questions will be no challenge to most, I’ve made effort to do this but I’m not convinced I’m finding the right capacitors. I’d like to find the equivalent in capacitance but improved is this makes sense. For example, original capacitors where rated at let’s say 350v, can I use a higher voltage for added protection or some benefit.
I’m in need of the following, I believe these are film capacitors but I’m not sure, they don’t appear to be polarity sensitive.
MP .47uF (M), 300 VAC, made by Nippon Chemi-Con
M P/C 0.1uF, 350WVDC (YG-22 H)

Welcome to the forum.
For electronics prior to 2000 you can always substitute a higher voltage rated and/or tighter tolerance capacitor of the same type. (modern switch mode power supplies sometimes break this old rule of thumb)
However increasing the voltage of film capacitors in well designed older products like your Akai reel to reel almost never gives better performance or longer life. That’s because the engineers at a great company like Akai almost certainly way overspecified the original parts.
But if the cost of higher voltage parts aren’t an issue go for it, it won’t hurt anything but your pocketbook.
Getting a tighter tolerance sometimes can improve things, e.g. 1% vs 10%. Here the cost difference last century was very high. So that’s a spec were the engineers would have had much less flexibility in choosing better than needed components.

Here’s a couple search results for in stock axial lead film capacitors. I usually pick the cheapest ones.
0.1uF >= 350VAC
0.47uF >= 300VAC
