I have been using Digi-Key for many years and stuff is CONSISTENTLY over-packed. It’s unbelievably wasteful and needless material is used. No intelligence is applied to how stuff is packed.
- There is no need to pack passives in dissipative bags,
- Many times parts are ‘multi-packed’, i.e. in a bag, in a bag…
- Although this has recently changed slightly, most stuff was boxed and stuffed with paper-based material to fill it up.
I get more redundant bags and packing material from Digi-Key than any other supplier. Have a think about what you are doing and clean up your act.
