Sometimes you may find that the appearance of your ECW-U( C ) film capacitors from Panasonic is not good. The capacitors’ termination looks like it’s cracked and oxidized, as shown below. Are these parts still good to use?
This oxidation just looks like flux residue from the plating process. The “crack” is the normal appearance of the part due to its terminal construction and will not affect the application. Check out the ECW-U( C ) film capacitors construction reference, below.
