I ran the first example and found it did not qualify for DKRed. What was the error?

" Your file does not qualify for the Digikey Red program.
To get an instant quote, the following requirements must be met:
Drill hole size must be less than 250mils."

Yeah, I need to rework these demos. I’ll get this updated.

Thank you. Always good to have a working example.

Received the following error when requesting Dk Red:
Your file does not qualify for the Digikey Red program.

  • Drill hole size must be less than 250mils.
The board is 21mm x 28.5mm. Largest drill is 40 mil. However there is a USB-C connector with four milled holes that a are a max of 24x85mils.
Is the error caused by the small size board, the milled slots or something else?

Milled slots, or what we call ‘internal cutouts’ are not allowed for DigiKey Red service at this time.

I’ve also seen other things trigger the drill size error but milled slots are also an issue.

Thanks for the info. After removing the internal cutouts I still have the same error. Next I removed all pads with drill holes except vias…same error message. Is there a maximum number of vias or way to see more information regarding the actual problem? It seems the drill hole size <250mills is an “all else” error.

You could private message me your ZIP archive, I can take a look to see if anything stands out.

Thanks, does replying to this email create a private message?

Nothing on the website.

The private message function is accessed by clicking a user’s avatar and then “Message.”

New users can have issue due to spam/bot mitigation measures, but that should be taken care of now.
