Pulling, support and strain relief grips are cable and cable mesh devices designed to distribute the weight of vertical or sloping runs of electrical and fiber optic cable, metal rods, tubing or hose over the length of the grip to avoid damage. Grips are selected by cable diameter, mesh length, bale length, eye type and breaking strength. Grip styles include bus drop, fiber optic, I-Grip, heavy, junior, medium and standard duties.
SelectionCharacteristics
Type: Indicates which broad overall product type the part falls into.
Style: Defines the primary construction style of the device, indicating which type of part it is and determining its general usage.
Eye Type: Describes the physical form of the portion of the grip used for mechanical attachment to a support member or cable pulling tool.
Cable Diameter: Indicates the nominal diameter or diameter range of wire/cable materials with which a product is designed for use.
Material: Indicates the material composition of the device.
Mesh Type: Indicates whether installation of the grip requires access to the end of a cable, and the means of fastening those that do not.
Mesh Length: Defines the length of mounting/attachment mesh on the mounting end of the device.
Bale Length: The length of the wire loop used for hanging or structural attachment.
Break Strength: The amount of tensile force that will cause mechanical failure. (values are approximate)
