question about 20 turn attachment

Does this part have a potentiometer attached, or is it just a gear down unit that I can install on any 1/4” potentiometer?

I was able to confirm this part is just the dial itself, no pot. This will work with potentiometers that have a .250"(6.35mm) shaft sizes.
