I started drawing a schematic a few weeks ago and at that point I was able to rename the symbols I inserted into the drawing like circuit breakers as well as a motor symbol that I renamed to include a specification. I opened the drawing today and now I cannot edit these symbol names at all. I can only move the text or change the font. Double click on the text does nothing now. I also tried a new drawing and I still cannot make this change to a symbol name. For example, when I add a symbol like a circuit breaker to a new drawing it would be default labeled as CB1. I cannot change that symbol name and I could before. Why? I have a work around for this which would be to just add a text box and change the symbol name but I am sure there is an easier solution to this issue. Any help with this would be appreciated. Can you please share your project name so we can see if there is an issue directly with the project?
You can also try using the part properties to change text and make the part labels visible or hidden.
