I need a treble knob replacement for my kenwood kr/ 8040 receiver. Ive included pics. I dont know what the part number is, and the knob doesnt have to be an exact replica- it just needs to be functional.

DigiKey has thousands of knobs.
It looks like your example extends about 1/4 inch into the face of the receiver. I was not able to locate a knob that would work with a recessed shaft. Most of DigiKey’s offerings are designed for a flush mounted shaft.

Scroll through the DigiKey offerings, as I may have missed the perfect replacement.

Online auction. We often see people part out a broken unit to sell the high value components such as PCB and transformer. Send a direct message to the seller if you see a similar Kenwood.

Remove all the tone knobs as a point of pride. We can then join the audiophiles who say, “Real amplifiers don’t need tone controls.”
