RF termination for Receiver path

Normally, we have to terminate the transmitter port with the 50 ohm RF terminators during the validation. similarly do we need to terminate with the Rx port also?

If you are terminating your transmitter with a 50 ohm RF terminator you should terminate your Rx as well.

Is there is any specific reason for terminating the Rx Port with the 50 ohm terminator?

Assuming that the Rx port is connected to a 50 ohm antenna during normal operation, it would make sense to terminate with 50 ohms during validation. It really depends on what you are trying to test for during your validation and what conditions you want to subject your product to.

Hi ScottReaker,

Thanks for your detailed response.
