Right angle LEDs

Hi,

Is anyone familiar with right angle surface mount LEDs such as B3173BGR-20C0001Q3U1930?

I’m looking at the datasheets and although they have view angle information, it is not clear to me which side the light is emitted from. Can you tell that from the datasheet?

It does seem that the info could be communicated more clearly in the example mentioned. I’d interpret the left & right side of the datasheet diagrams to indicate emission along the blue and red planes of the representation below, respectively.
