Rohm Semiconductors - Chip and Network Res - Glass Overcoat

Glass overcoat on chip and network resistors.

Unfortunately, these are not available anymore. What is important to know is that this is legacy technology that was improved upon by changing to the use of resins. This change helped the supplier lower costs on the series. The parts that originally used the glass overcoat were placed obsolete by the supplier and made unavailable. To make this a little more clear, the overcoat is the highlighted portion of the resistor in the diagram below. There should not be any adverse reaction to using one of these resin parts in place of a legacy glass option.
