That connector would not come with a bit of cable attached.
Also I did not see that we have an option that comes with one pre-attached.
For cable recommendation the below link shows the options I had found.
You can also e-mail custom.orders@digikey.com with a request to have the cable and connector assembled.
A “Connector Assembly” in Digi-Speak is one whose electrical contacts are fixed within the housing and sold as a unit, in contrast to one where the “Housing” and “Contacts” are sold separately. For any given flavor of connector (circular, rectangular, D-Sub, etc.) one is likely to see sub-families of Accessories, Adapters, Assemblies, Contacts, Housings, etc. The significance of those terms holds from one family to the next.
A “Cable Assembly” on the other hand is a length of cable material terminated in one or more specified connectors. The different groups under that banner correlate to the different falvors of connector on offer.
As stated, we don’t stock any cable assemblies using this specific connector or others like it.
Considerations for cable material would be driven by the number of conductors needed, the nominal 8mm aperture of the strain relief on the connector, flexibility and environmental requirements, and nature of the signals in question; a cable with individually shielded twisted pairs is going to have rather different crosstalk characteristics than something where all the conductors are simply laid alongside each other.
Depending on how flexible the strain relief material on the connector is and how dimensional tolerances stack up, a cable material that’s a hair over 8mm might be desirable. Or not, depending on whether or not there’s some other mechanism provided for reliving axial stresses.
It’d also be reasonable to select a thinner cable and build it up with some heat shrink tube at the termination point. Might be a good approach to expand one’s options/reduce costs.
