I am trying to work out what the part marking of the above image means with regards to the B, E and Z055G.

Click here for the possible datasheet. It does not explain the markings. My guess is the B is the Frequency tolerance (also listed on the end of the part number). The E may be for EPSON. The Z055G is probably the Date or Lot code.
For a better explanation, you may have to contact the manufacturer. Some companies will not give this information out, for counterfeiting reasons.
