Shiu Li Technologies offers thermal interfacing solutions, including their two-part thermal epoxy EP770-1100. We’ve had some questions recently about the consistency of this product and whether it’s defective or damaged if it shows up thicker and less pourable than one might want.
If the product is entirely solidified, contact us for assistance. In many cases however, especially when used in low ambient temperatures (less than 25 degrees Celsius), Shiu Li recommends preheating the material to ensure proper consistency. A preheat at 40C for twenty minutes, or 50C for ten, is both recommended by the manufacturer and a good way to resuscitate epoxy you might have thought was ruined.
