Sooo, this board is built incorrectly

------Question for DJB9MF Please Put your question below------

The silkscreen numbers show that the M and F DB9 soldered on connectors are swapped. As built pin 1 connects to pad 5 and so on. I need to desolder and swap. This affects both of the units I received and already built up my adaptor with. While I can do the swap I wanted this to be brought up to make sure that incoming inspection of part quality can be updated to catch these kind of things.

We agree, this is one confusing design, take a look at this diagram:

DataSheet: https://www.l-com.com/images/downloadables/2D/DJB9MF_2D.pdf

So P1 (header) goes to “pin 5” on the pcb from both sides..

Regards,

Sounds like they accidentally swapped the parts on the BOM and instead of scrapping the parts built they just “fixed” the doc. I just assumed that 1 goes to 1 like any one would.

Can’t disagree.
