TDK Dimension Drawing Shows the Lower Limit Value Only

If you look at the dimension drawings on datasheets from TDK, you may see some dimensions showing the lower tolerance limit value only, i.e. just the minus tolerance range.

One example is the B32642B6104J. The lead length dimension is given as 6 – 1.


In the above drawing, the first value is the nominal value 6mm; the “-1” is the tolerance and means the lead can be -1 from six, which is to say a minimum of 5mm.
