Tripp Lite provides a strong supply of circuit protection devices, including their TLP606B surge protection bar. We’ve had a couple of questions concerning the joule rating on this device. The bar might turn up marked 790J, while its documentation cites 900J. Which way does this go?
The specifications for this product changed recently, with the manufacturer upgrading it from its original 790J rating to the newer 900J spec. This change was unannounced and has no PCN, but we have confirmed it with the supplier. You can trust the new 900J rating for these devices.
