I cannot install the library from github to make kicad v10.0.0 work for my current build. Is there something I should know that is not quite said just yet or does it work will-nilly?

I noticed they only accept .stp formatted files now in v10.0.0 of Kicad. Is this in the works or has this type of library been left in the past to stay in the past?
I may have made a mistake in what Kicad source code accepts for formatted files in Manage Symbol Libraries in the Schematic Editor.
It seems there are legacy sections to the whole shabang in what the Schematic Editor accepts outside of .stp. I think they still accept .wrl files as well.
