USB type C Connector for KiCad project

I am working on a project for a WLED ESP8266 controller and would like to use a USB-C
for both power and data, but will be hand soldering the connector.
PN. E8124-015-01 might be my best choice because of the KiCad footprint.
PN. USB4085-GF-A has all pins to solder, but no KiCad footprint.
any suggestions would be supportive. Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

It’s not that hard to create a custom footprint for PCB layout software, and it’s a great skill to have. I don’t think I’ve designed a single PCB for work in the last 40 years that didn’t require at least one new footprint.

Thie tutorial from sparkfun may help.
