Mechanical Engineering students and ME Professor searching for radar instrumentation capable of measuring speed, 3-D trajectory and spin rate of struck golf ball. Have looked at TI equipment Model AWR1642 Obstacle Detection Sensor. Need support for finding best instrument with connection to Raspberry PI.

I am not aware of any commercially-available system capable of the task requested, since particularly in context of spin rate the features that might be used to detect the phenomenon are rather small. If such a system does exist, I might expect it’s cost to extend into 7+ figures and its sale to be restricted as an article of defense.
