W2S SMD SOT-23

Hello,

I have a component SMD SOT-23 that as an inscription on it - W2S.

I tried looking up the table to see the corresponding component but the ones that came up the caracteristics were not the same.

I need to find the correspondent of this component.

Does anyone have an idea?

Hello AntonioGuimaraes,

Are you able to provide an image of the component, the circuit, or any other information in regard to this component?

Maybe this one?
In any case, we need a photo of your component.

Yes, here are the photo

We checked and it is not that.
Here is a photo of the component

Unsolder component W2S.
Check with a multimeter, it should probably be PNP.

Report the result.
Component A4W should be 2 Schottky diodes.

It is not 2 diodes.
with the multimeter it looks like mosfet.

What element are you talking about?
A4W ???

Hi Antonio,

Considering the marking of W2S and the package case of SOT-23, the part is likely BCR189 base part number like Adam7 suggested, as in a data sheet: https://mm.digikey.com/Volume0/opasdata/d220001/medias/docus/2502/BCR189%20(2005).pdf

Unfortunately we no longer carry this part but we have some similars such as 846-DTA114TETLCT-ND and DTA143TETLCT-ND. You’ll have to review the full specs to verify if it will work for your application.

Hope that helps.

Oh, sorry no.
I was reffering to W2S that looks like mosfet.
The A4W is working fine. Only looking for W2S

Make sure 100% that it is a MOSFET transistor!
Unsolder it from the board and measure it.
It does not matter what it is - P- channel or N - channel.
This is very important for the search!

Hi Adam, i appretiate all tha help you are giving me.
I have one that it is working fine.
Do you know the Huntron Tracker meter? I can send a video that i made measuring the one working for you to see.

Hi, AntonioGuimaraes!
“Do you know the Huntron Tracker meter?” -No, I never see it.
"I can send a video " - OK, please send video.
The more information, the faster you will get an answer.

Hi, AntonioGuimaraes,
it wasn’t easy, but I found your chip marked W2S_xx.
This chip is SI2304DS (N-channel TrenchMOS).
How did I do it?
I found this information on the internet:

The datasheet for the SI2304DS,215 microcircuit can be found at the link:https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/nexperia-usa-inc/SI2304DS-215/1158305
But there is a problem, the datasheet does not indicate the marking code.
And more information - SI2304DS,215 is Obsolete and no longer manufactured.
This problem can be solved by replacing it with a Si2304BDS chip with the marking (L4*).
The chip is located at the link:
https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/vishay-siliconix/si2304bds-t1-ge3/1995511

Why I made such a conclusion about replacing the chip, you can find in the file «Specification Comparison Si2304BDS vs. Si2304DS».

Best Regards,
Adam.
