Surface mount transistor ID LWW42

Hello,

I am trying to find a replacement part for a small, 3 lead (1 on top in the middle, 2 on the bottom near each corner), surface mount transistor. The part itself is marked on top with LWW42, where the 42 (in a slightly smaller font size) is stamped 90 degrees counterclockwise to the last W. Unfortunately I don’t have the small board in front of me to get a photo of but there really isn’t anything more than that stamped on the top of the part.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Technomancer – welcome to the Forum community! I haven’t been able to identify your transistor, other than to determine that it is likely an SOT-23 package. Is there a manufacturer’s logo on the part? Do you have any additional information on it? Type of transistor, voltage, etc? If you’re able to post a photo later, that would be helpful.

Hi Jenny! I can try to get a picture of the part and upload it to see if that helps at all. From what I can tell, there is no manufacturer logo on it, unless it’s on the underside of the transistor (against the PCB). What I can tell you though is that the circuit is 5v and fairly simple. It’s only a dozen or so components used to power 2 LEDs and and a small opto switch.
