Still needs pmic and DDR ram and a board spun. Cheapest CPU, isn’t going to get you far.
What features do you need on the cpu?
Let’s say I need bare minimum yocto with systemd, and one serial port, where my app prints hello world. No graphics, and other things like gpio, don’t matter. RAM about 256MB, but can be external, flash also about 256MB, but it also can be external.
Serial port, plus I/o with 256mb of RAM… Do you even need Linux? Sounds like this could be done with an esp32 or pico with extra microsd storage.
I don’t know what you need for networking…
It’s hard to beat the price of this, but it’s way overkill for your needs..
Yes I need Linux. Yocto and systemd are an absolute must.
