What is this connector called?

Hi,

What is this connector called?

So far, I have not been able to find this connector on the DigiKey.com website.

This is the WiFi and Bluetooth connector on the motherboard of my 17-inch MacBook Pro from Mid-2009.

It’s sort of like this connector, but not exactly like it:

I’m trying to replace this connector on the motherboard because while performing routine repairs on the laptop, I accidentally ripped the WiFi cable out, and unfortunately I bent some of the pins inside this connector.

Thank you,
James Pedersen

Unfortunately, we don’t carry that connector. From searching around, it appears apple’s part number for that connector is 518S0610.

Andy,

Thank you for getting back to me about this, and thank you very much for finding the part number of the connector.

It’s a shame you don’t have it in stock. If you had it in stock, I would buy it from you.

Thank you,
James Pedersen

Hi James,
That’s not an FPC connector. It’s probably I-PEX’s Cabline.

Cheers, heke
