I need to replace the probe for a digital oscilloscope that I own. I’ve looked at the data sheet for DigiKey’s part number 1286-1075-ND. However, no value range is listed to indicate the probe’s compensation scope.
My oscilloscope normally uses the PP-150. Here’s the data sheet for that probe:
As you can see, this probe has a compensation scope of 15pF-35pF.
I’d like to know whether or not the 1286-1075-ND would be suitable to replace the PP-150. For this reson, I need to know its compensation scope. Is it 15pF-35pF, like the PP-150?
Hi @evansste and welcome to the forum! Looks like the compensation range is in this document here: https://digilent.com/reference/_media/reference/test-and-measurement/bnc-probes/bnc_probes_datasheet.pdf
1286-1075-ND follows the specs for the “P6100” model in this guide, according to Digilent’s most current information. The compensation range should be 10-35pF.
I noted some discrepancies between this documentation and what we have linked, moving forward the documentation taken directly from Digilent should be referenced. I’m contacting our product information team to request an update on our listing and documentation.

Thank you, so much, for giving me this information. It’s, exactly, what I was looking for.
There is an additional post on this as well: Digilent Oscilloscope Probe Compensation which may offer a few additional tips.
